1. So you probably know by now that Jay will be in a Hollywood movie called Hype Nation. So it’s been set that he will travel to South Korea from 31st May to 1st June with his family, production crew and fellow AOM members. The story plot will focus around Gamblerz Crew fighting against an American team at the World Champion B-Boy Battle held in Korea. Elements of romance between the characters are expected to be included in the storyline as well. The movie will be directed by Ellen Kazarti, the winner of MTV Music Video Awards for directing Backstreet Boys and ‘N SYNC AND the movie will be filmed in 3D! (OMG is Jay gonna pop outta the screen?? Haha gives a whole new meaning to poppin’ heeee :D) Hype Nation is slated for release in the summer of 2011 ( so around…June thereabouts?)
2. Other than Hype Nation the movie there will also apparently be a Hype Nation World Tour featuring artists such as B2K in December touring US cities and major Asian cities (why I gotta be in Europe at this time. Big TSK).
3. Jay will release his official single entitled ‘Demon’ on July 10th which will mark the start of his activities in showbiz as a singer. According to executive producer of Hype Nation, Jason Lee, the song Demon was written by Teddy Riley, a prominent songwriter in the U.S. music market who has worked with Lady Gaga, Dr Dre and other prominent names in the past. One of the four songs will be titled Fame, which will feature Snoop Dogg. Singer Brandon and rapper T-Pain have also joined in.
WOW a LOT of big names…I’m so excited for him and for othe Jay fans. His return to the stage will definitely be something to look out for. Goes to show that maybe every cloud does have its silver lining 🙂

JYP has finally released an official statement on what has unfortunately happened in the past few days:
Here’s what he had to say:
JaeBeom’s exit from 2PM was sad for everyone.
Park Jin Young revealed on the 10th on JYP Entertainment’s homepage the reasons he debuted Park JaeBeom and why he took JaeBeom into JYP. Park Jin Young expressed his grief for what happened with the recent controversy surrounding 2PM’s leader.
JYP proposed that 4 years ago, a troubled youth (Jaebeom) was met by music and was transformed. He also suggested that, “just as things were turning for the bright side, Jaebeom’s online posts from his rebellious years unfortunately surfaced. He was extremely regretful and sorry to his 2PM members, to me, to the company wokers, to the fans, and most of all to the Korean people who had received him so warmly. He believed that if he hesitated making a decision, the fans would turn their anger to the other 2PM members as well. Even more, the current situation made it impossible to perform on stage.”
In Jaebeom’s last email he wrote, “I was really a punk with no respect back right? I’m sorry. Because of you, my view on life has changed so much. I’ve become a stronger person and a much better person. Thank you so much.”
JYP said about the letter, “The pain is ripping. It hurts. But, I knew what Koreans would think of his words (in the past). They would feel betrayed. I could not say anything in his defense.”
Title says all. Videos prove it. To Park Jaebum: Nolite te bastardes carborundorum! AJA!
2PM = Jaebom + Junsu + Taec + Khun + Woo Young + Junho + Chansung
This equation is like e = mc^2. No one questions it. It just is.
Can you believe some people started a petition titled “Jaebeom Should Commit Suicide” on one of Daum’s sites Agora??? Over 3000 people have signed this petition, leaving comments such as “Go back to America”, “I’m disgusted by you”, and “Jaebeom will be the next Yoo Seung-joon“ before it was taken down on September 7.
But things seem to be looking up, because another petition entitled “Please Forgive Our Jaebeom Just This Once” on Agora replaced the other hate-filled one and has gained over 6,000 signatures in two days. There’s an online petition going around also in support of the, to this extent, unfairly victimized Jaebom. Although it has already surpassed it’s aim of 10, 000 names with around 12000 plus names, I’s still strongly suggest fans/people who disagree with this bitterness to continue giving support to Jaebom.
Fellow Kpop star Jonghun from F.T Island has also shown support on his Cyworld saying “Isn’t the world too scary? The past is the past…I understand the feeling of that person who is in trouble now…Fighting!”
People make mistakes. Especially extremely stressed out 18 year olds who are dislocated from an environment familiar to them. Stressed out teenagers else where in the world do worse things than say things they come to regret, like shooting people or committing suicide or blow stuff up. An eye for an eye makes the world go blind. Stop the hate.

There is a petition going around Korean websites to stop all 2PM activities due to leader Jaebeom’s past mistake in Myspace. As of the 7th, those in favor of the petition are a little over 5100 netizens. Although the number does not seem that big, for a group who is currently active, it is a number that can greatly harm their future.
For those of you who are not already aware of Jaebeom’s Myspace controversy, here’s a little bit of background information: Myspace comments that Jaebeom had left for his friend a couple years back, have recently surfaced and have caused much dilemma for 2PM. The comments read towards his dislike of Korea during his trainee years. Being the prideful Korea, many were offended by the comments and quickly took action to bring 2PM’s leader down.
2PM was supposed to return with a new album in October, but because of this controversy, they may have to lay low for awhile.
Regarding 2PM activities, JYP (Park Jin Young) stated:
It seems that someone’s out to get Jae when comments made during his trainee days about being in Korea were dug out. Understandably, as he had also explained, those days were not easy for him to fit in but there’s always something about comments like these that can stir up patriotism and slamming. But in any case Jaebom has also released an official apology. I say he deserves some slack. Everyone complains about their country. It’s kinda hypocritical to condemn him just coz he’s famous right~
